Too Faced - Melted Chocolate in Chocolate Milkshake

Following the success of the bestselling Melted and Melted Metal Liquefied lipsticks, Too Faced have now taken a new leap by marrying their best selling lip range with their best selling cocoa-based eye shadows to create Melted Chocolate - a range of 6 shades infused with antioxidant cocoa powder which not only looks delicious, but smells delicious too.

I received this shade in Chocolate Milkshake as part of a Christmas present. My fiancé was in New York on a business trip at the beginning of December and he walked into Sephora and asked them what someone who pretty much owned everything cosmetics related, could be missing. The helpful sales assistant pointed him to a beautiful, Sephora exclusive palette called Christmas in New York. The collection included a whole range of cocoa infused eyeshadows I have never seen before, but also included Better Than Sex mascara, the Too Faced eye shadow insurance and a full sized pot of Melted Chocolate in Chocolate Milkshake.

The boy definitely did good because there is no way I would have ever found this beautiful collection in England.

Anyway, Chocolate Milkshake is a honey-nude shade. The squeezy pot and cushioned applicator make it surprisingly easy to apply, and the colour laydown is amazing. You only need a little bit to get full impact, and the texture and feel is heavenly. It's not purely matte as it still has a trace of gloss to it, which makes it very wearable for everyday and comfortable. And this peachy, honey nude goes beautifully against my skin tone. It will also suit medium, more caramel skin tones too.

If the above hasn't yet sold you, surely the chocolate taste will win you over, right?

Colour Intensity: medium

Finish:  velvety, soft finish - some gloss

Overall Rating: 5/5

Perfect for: wearing with a natural look - I would treat your lashes to Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara as well as a sweep of Charlotte Tilbury's blush in First Love.

MAC - Amplified lipstick in Saucy Little Darling

'Tis the season to be dolled up and beautiful, but with Christmas now behind us and 2017 merely days away, the season we all look forward to is quickly slipping from our hands. I always long for new, limited edition ranges from MAC but I have to say that I am sad that the season for Nutcracker Sweet is almost over.

Nevertheless, let's enjoy the beauty of Saucy Little Darling while we still can. Because if you haven't yet purchased anything from this glorious range, hurry down to your nearest MAC counter and make your purchase this one.

Saucy Little Darling is a seductive mix of hot pink with a hint of coral - it makes this colour unlike any other out there and although one I would likely wear more in Summer rather than Christmas, I still think this is an instant 'WOW'.

Saucy Little Darling's texture is Amplified, so not only is it loaded with colour, but it's also has a boost of moisture too - keeping lips nice and plump.

Colour Intensity: high

Finish: Amplified

MAC - Lustre lipstick in Patisserie

I'm a little bit late to the party here, but I love MAC's Patisserie! If there ever was a subtle, pink, everyday shade that had just that little bit of a glitter gleam, Patisserie is it.

Just like its name would suggest, the colour is beautiful and delicious - a rosy, pale pink that makes it the sweetest lipstick you can possibly add to your collection.

I have heard bloggers and vloggers rave about this little beauty for so long, but thinking it's just over-hype, I have overlooked it. Now, I'm wishing I'd stumbled upon it sooner because Patisserie has been the lipstick that has kept my lips full of life over the last week.

Created in MAC's Lustre finish, Patisserie will not overload your lips with colour. Instead, it will treat them to a hint of pink that finishes off any look. It's perfect for those 'no fuss' days we all have.

Colour Intensity: low

Finish: Lustre

Overall Rating: 5/5

MAC - Cremesheen lipstick in Kingdom Of Sweets

How could I resist this latest limited edition range from MAC? Not only is it full of Christmas spirit by being called The Nutcracker, but the packaging is MAC's best yet.

I haven't yet delved into the rest of the range, but I have purchased my two first lipsticks and I have to say, I adore them both.

The first one is the lightest shade of the lot - Kingdom of Sweets.

When you swivel the lipstick, you see a stunning petal pink - a gorgeous, light rose that I'm keeping purely as a colour swatch for my future wedding flowers. It's a stunning, cool pink so it's suited to a limited range of skin tones, but if you're feeling brave or wanting to channel a 60's style, then Kingdom of Sweets is the lipstick for you.

The Cremesheen texture is loaded with both moisture and colour - a deadly duo that to me is a must-have in a lipstick.

It makes an ideal stocking filler for any lipstick lover, so go on, treat the one you love, or just yourself!

Colour Intensity: medium

Finish: Cremesheen

Overall Rating: 4/5 - I love everything about this lipstick but the colour doesn't suit me. It makes me look like I have Tips-Ex on my lips.
