MAC - Lustre lipstick in Pure Vanity

For a peachy perfect pout look no further than MAC's Pure Vanity. Sweep this over your lips for a sprinkle of colour that will not only warm your complexion, but will moisturise your lips in a way that only Lustre lipsticks can.

If you layer on thin enough, this can also act as a great nude alternative for Summer evenings out - it's light enough but still packs a punch of colour if needed.

I loved teaming this up with Benefit's Rockateur blush as the tanned tones in the lipstick are enhanced, but to make the most of it's pretty pastel shade, wear alone with a tinted moisturiser.

Colour Intensity: medium

Finish: Lustre

Overall Rating: 4/5

You'll like this if: you want a warm pastel shade that you can transition from poolside casual to beach bar glamour

MAC - Lustre lipstick in Real Doll

More bubblegum pink than Catty, Real Doll is the Mac lipstick for real girly girls. If you want your lipstick to have a dose of Barbie, pick this newbie treat up.

In Mac's signature formulation, lustre, Real Doll glazes lips with a satin soft finish that leaves your pout moisturised and plump. Unlike Catty, this particular pink has more blue than yellow tones, so it will suit cool skin tones.

If you're feeling particularly girly, wear it with Rococo nails in Doll Face Creme, and add a hint of Benefit's Dandelion blush. But only a hint.

Colour Intensity: medium

Finish: lustre

Overall Rating: 4/5

You'll like this if: you want a light pink, pastel enough for this Summer's trend, but that contains a punch of colour.

MAC - Lustre lipstick in Catty

This is a new, limited edition range from Mac, featuring an abundance of soft hues as well as rich shades.

The first I picked up is Catty. Because the finish is Lustre, this means it's a very glossy lay down with just enough colour. Out of all the lipsticks I purchased in this range, Catty is my fave! It's a warm, light pink that is perfect for adding a hint of colour to 'barely there' summer make-up. With a teeny tiny hint of coral, it warms up your complexion.

Colour Intensity: low

Finish: lustre

Overall Rating: 4/5

You'll like this if: you need a pretty pink perfect for summer
