This mesmerising product is a new, limited edition shade of Matte Revolution lipstick, specially created for the Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson collection. Inspired by 60's muses such as Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy, Miss Kensington is an English rose pink that claims to give the illusion of wider, fuller lips as if lit from within.
The hue will suit fairer skin tones so I purchased it as soon as it became available, and the claims are no lies. When you twist the gold lipstick, you are greeted with a gorgeous nude peachy-pink. On closer inspection, the colour is embellished with gold glimmer. Once on the lips, it's this which gives that "glow".
The texture is a soft matte, but creamy enough that there's no real need for lip prepping. All I did was swipe a lipliner before the lipstick and it stayed put for hours. The edgy tip shape is also a revolution within itself - once regular lipsticks get used, the tip which is necessary for precision is lost and you're left with a cylinder. With Charlotte Tilbury's revolution matte, the trapezium tip means that no matter how much you use it, you will always have a perfect edged lipstick.
I did find that this made my lips have more depth, and the iridescent dazzle is unlike anything else. Ideal lipstick for a stroll down the King's Road.
